HP LaserJet 2100 Family Printers - Alternate Printer Driver Choices

ISSUE: What alternate printer drivers are available for the HP LaserJet 2100 printer?
SOLUTION: At times it may be necessary to load an alternate driver for the HP LaserJet 2100 printers. This may be necessary when the HP LaserJet 2100 printers' software is not printing as expected, or when the application you are using does not list the HP LaserJet 2100 printers as a choice. For Windows 95 or 98, run a custom installation of the HP LaserJet 2100 printers' software. Select the HP LaserJet 2100 PCL5e driver option. If the HP LaserJet 2100 PCL5e driver option cannot be installed, install the alternate driver provided in the following: Alternate driver choice: HP LaserJet 4 Plus printer, or if available, HP LaserJet 6P printer.
NOTE: The HP LaserJet 2100 printers' are backward compatible and should work with most standard HP LaserJet drivers. Using a different driver will remove access to some product features.
NOTE: The HP LaserJet PCL5e driver supports 300 and 600 dpi printing only, and operates with Windows 3.1x, Windows 95, 98 and Me. Windows NT 4.0 ( Windows NT 4.0 driver is available only on the Web).
