HP LaserJet 4000 and 5000 Series Printers - Printing Booklets

The booklet printing feature in the HP LaserJet 4000, 4050, 4100, 4200, 4250, 4300, 4350, 5000 and 5100 printer drivers allows printing a document as a booklet. The printer will need to have a duplexer accessory installed in order to print booklets. A duplexer allows the printer to print on both sides of the paper.

In booklet printing, pages are reordered and printed two-up on each side of a sheet of paper. This allows folding the paper in the middle, forming a booklet, and having the pages in the correct order with no page shuffling.

Booklet printing is only available for letter and A4-sized documents, and can be printed on letter and A4 paper. This option requires a duplexer to be installed in order for Print on Both Sides to be selected.

NOTE: If an older printer driver is installed on computer, the information in this document may not apply.
