HP LaserJet 4000, 4050, 4100 Series Printers - Pre-printed Forms Not Aligned with Margins and/or Document Fields

ISSUE: Preprinted forms do not line up in regards to margins and fields within the document when printing to an HP LaserJet 4000, 4050 or 4100 series printer. Changing to the PCL6, PCL 5e, or LJ4 Plus drivers does not resolve the issue. This issue is found within older Windows-based applications that have document margins that cannot be modified.
SOLUTION: Install the Microsoft version of the LaserJet 4 Plus driver.
NOTE: The Microsoft driver can be found in and installed by using the Add Printer Wizard on any Windows system.

Within the Paper tab, click the Unprintable Area setting and adjust the unprintable area to match the preprinted form.

CAUSE: Margin settings within older Windows-based applications are set to older LaserJet unprintable areas and the new drivers do not always have the ability to adjust the unprintable area.
