HP LaserJet 4200 or 4300 Series Printer - Unable to Collate/Mopy, Resulting in Error Message, 'Unable to Store Job at Printer,' or 'Job Storage Status Page,' or 'Job Storage Error'
ISSUE: When attempting to print multiple copies to a base model printer, only one copy prints. An error page follows stating:
NOTE: In a peer-to-peer environment, the mopier setting in the driver needs to be disabled on the host, as well as, on each client.
SOLUTION: Each of the following steps may independently resolve this issue:
SUMMARY: In order to collate/mopy on a base model printer, a RAM disk needs to be configured or a hard disk needs to be installed. The base model HP LaserJet 4200 series printer ships with 48 MB of memory, but 64 MBs are required for a RAM disk to be configured.
NOTE: Although the printer ships with 48 MB of memory, the printer driver installs with mopy enabled. This affects the PCL5e, PCL6, and PostScript drivers (version 184.108.40.206). All other HP LaserJet 4200 series printer models ship with 64 MB of memory, so they will mopy with no additional configuration.
