Replacement Printer Instructions for HP Photosmart Premium e-All-in-One Printer Series C310

When HP replaces your defective product, some accessories or parts need to be transferred from the defective product to the replacement product.

NOTE:
  • Some optional accessories might not be included with your product model.
  • Keep any optional accessories that you bought separately.

Instructions

  1. Prior to replacing or disposing of your defective unit, follow these instructions to ensure the right accessories are removed.

    CAUTION: Please do not keep the Output Tray but ship it alongside the defective unit.

    a) Print Cartridges and Printhead Assembly. Make sure that the unit is plugged in and turned on before removing the print cartridges and the printhead assembly.

    WARNING: Do not return nor reuse the print cartridges and printhead assembly. The replacement unit will include a new assembly printhead and print cartridges.
    • Open the ink cartridge access door by lifting from the front right of the product, until the door locks into place.

    • Wait until the print carriage stops moving. Press the tab on the front of each ink cartridge and remove the print cartridges from the slot.

    • Firmly lift the carriage latch.

    • Remove the printhead and lower the carriage latch again.

    • Close the ink cartridge access door.

    Then, unplug the printer and keep the following accessories:

    b) Two-sided Printing Accessory

    In order to remove the two-sided printing accessory, press in the tabs on the left and right side of the two-sided printing accessory and then remove the accessory by pulling it away from the HP Photosmart AIO printer.

    c) Power Adapter

    d) Power Cord

    e) USB Cord

    f) Printed Guide and CD

    g) Memory Cards

  2. Transfer the accessories mentioned above from your defective unit to the replacement product.

  3. Apply power to the replacement product and test all the product functions.
