Loading Paper and Envelopes for the HP Deskjet 1050, 1050A, 2050, and 2050A, and Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 All-in-One Printer Series

Introduction

This document provides instructions for loading plain paper, photo paper, and envelopes.

Loading plain paper

Use the following steps to load paper in the product.

  1. Raise the input tray.

  2. Lower the output tray, and then pull out the tray extender.

  3. Slide the paper width guide to its outermost position.

  4. Load a stack of plain paper into the input tray, print-side facing toward you. Slide the stack of paper in until it stops.

  5. Slide the paper width guide snugly against the paper.

Loading photo paper

Use the following steps to load photo paper in the product.

  1. Raise the input tray.

  2. Lower the output tray, and then pull out the tray extender.

  3. Slide the paper width guide to the left.

  4. Load a stack of photo paper into the input tray with the short edge down and print-side facing toward you. Slide the stack of paper in until it stops.

    NOTE: If the photo paper you are using has perforated tabs, load the paper so that the tabs are on top.
  5. Slide the paper width guide inward until it stops at the edge of the paper.

    NOTE: Do not leave any photo paper in the input tray after you finish printing, as the quality of the paper might deteriorate. Store photo paper in a sealed bag in a cool, dark place.

Loading envelopes

Use the following steps to load envelopes in the product.

NOTE: You can load one or more envelopes in the tray, but do not load more than five envelopes at a time. Do not use shiny or embossed envelopes or envelopes that have clasps or windows.

  1. Raise the input tray.

  2. Lower the output tray, and then pull out the tray extender.

  3. Slide the paper width guide to the left.

  4. Load one or more envelopes into the far-right side of the input tray with the print-side facing toward you and with the flap on the left-side, and then slide the paper width guide inward until it stops at the edge of the envelopes.
