Fix:

Upgrade to the gateway to 5.60A.033.002 or a later version

Symptom:

IVR has problems with DTMF from the Gateway when using version 4.80.32A

Cause:

Software version 4.80A.032 may not be recognizing DTMF digits quickly enough. It takes about 20 milliseconds or so to detect and then switch to RFC 2833 and this normally does not cause any issues. It is possible that the other side is picking these up in the RTP that causes problems. In the latest gateway releases, additional parameters have been added to improve the generation detection process which may resolve the issue.

( this parameter removes DTMF from the voice stream and transmits it using RFC 2833 ) [SIP Params]

This parameter is obsolete. Remove it from the INI file. AggressiveDTMFErasure = 770
