To install the HP OpenView NNM Smart Plug-In for Windows

  1. Insert the CD with the HP Surestore Enterprise Management Smart Plug-Ins installation program into the CD-ROM drive.

  2. If Autorun is enabled on the PC, the HP Surestore Enterprise Management Smart Plug-Ins installation window is displayed. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

  3. If Autorun is not enabled, click Start > Run.

  4. Type E:\Nnm-nt\Setup.exe in the text box (where E: is the drive letter for the CD-ROM drive).

  5. Click OK. This displays the HP OpenView NNM Smart Plug-In installation window.

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

NOTE: Once the installation is complete, the HP OpenView NNM will not display icons for the HP Surestore Virtual Array if it did not discover any HP Command View SDM stations. You can wait until the NNM default discovery process discovers the stations in the consecutive polling, or you can do a manual discovery.
