HP LaserJet P2014 Host Based Driver Package

Use this download package if you want to add the printer driver to the communications port that already exists (e.g. driver was deleted but port still exists). For first time installations where the communications port does not exist use the Plug and Play package that is available for download. The drivers contained in this download are specifically for Windows Vista (32-bit).

The HP LaserJet P2014 Driver download package provides the following:
  • HP LaserJet P2014 printer driver.
    • Windows Vista 32-bit (20070427 version, shown when selecting the About button in the Basics tab of the driver).
Before proceeding with the software installation, the printer must first be properly set up, and your computer must be ready to print.
  • Close any software programs running on your computer.
  • Click the Download button and a File Download box will appear.
  • Select Save and a Save As box will appear.
  • Select a directory to save the file in and click Save. Remember the location of the saved file.
  • Locate the file using Windows Explorer when the download has completed.
  • Double click on the file. This will extract all the driver files into a directory on your hard drive. The default directory is
    Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\LaserJet P2010 Drivers. However, you can change the path and directory name at the time of extracting the file.
  • Open the Printers folder (Click Start>Control Panel>Printer (located under the Hardware and Sound heading).
  • To add the printer driver to an existing port
    • Click Add Printer.
    • Click Next in the Add Printer Wizard.
    • Select Local Printer or Local Port then click Next.
    • Select the appropriate port (typically USB001)
    • Select HP from the list of manufactures.
    • Select HP LaserJet P2014. If there are multiple entries for the driver choose the one with the most recent date. Then click Next.
    • Follow the remaining instructions in the Add Printer Wizard to complete the driver installation.
After the installation is complete you can delete the file "ljp2010-HB-pd-winv32<language abbreviation>.exe" if desired.
